iPad O/T

So the little lady has an iPad that won't charge up, tried ubertech cannot get in unless you go through apple, and there is a waiting list,other options from apple are apple shop/ authorised repairers in Liverpool or Manchester,
anyone know of another decent shop that could repair it or she'll want to use mine
P.S it is out of warranty
also black bear (was box) told her to use ubertech.
So looking for ideas before she gets her hands on mine, oh matron!
