Season Tickets

The ink has to dry for me and I actually see it on the EFL website, so I hope the solicitors don’t take too long, only six working days till the 9th of June and I’m at hospital in Liverpool on that day.

What possibly could go wrong at this late hour?

We've smelt enough of it, so it does make you wonder who has made the statement to make it official.
For me, any new owners would have to bring their own board members to the table to show they mean business, as opposed to carrying on with the same procedure that is currently active

It may be on the website but who put it there? Not the Board of Directors. Doesn't read right to me.

Utter rubbish from the 'media' team.

Gob smacked they've hidden that significant update within a season ticket offer announcement. What are they playing at? Almost like they are taking the **** out of us.

What is?it with some posters?on this forum who don't belive a single word or statement posted by others and in particular our?excellent BoDs..

Some of them need to take a serious look at themselves and not judge fellow fans in such a untrustworthy way .

I have to agree, why is such an important statement, after 1,000 days, added into a season ticket extension?

If the paperwork has actually gone to the solicitors, it should be headline of the year with an announcement of it's own!

No wonder people are sceptical

Of course once again you could well be right about others!

The thing that niggles me is as posted this morning a received a courtesy call from Morecambe FC about the early bird season ticket offer ending tomorrow at 12:00. That’s fine in its self I did decline to buy one at this time but would consider to buy one at a later date. Then at tea time it was posted on our OWS that the early bird season tickets sale has been extended till the 10th of June.

Now of course that decision may have been taken before tea time and after 11:30 am this morning when I received the call, or as as I was told this very early on this afternoon that the sale was be extended, so it was always the plan!! (those rumours right).

Am I paranoid that they wanted me and maybe others to buy a season ticket before they might want to?

May be Relapsed Shrimp might be right about having the mick taken and maybe redrobo, you might be right about getting a life, many certainly say I need one

In all seriousness the questions now are; When did the papers go to the solicitors? With how slowly things have taken already, how long will that all take? and is it better for some to wait to get a season ticket till the sale has actually been ratified by the EFL (that’s at the moment) or other governing body (after mid June)?

Don't get me wrong, a positive progress update is welcome a d I'm glad we've seen 'something' on an official channel. I just feel after 1000+ days, the supporters deserve a story on the website titled 'announcement from the board' - as they've done many times in the past for much more meaningless info - to be posted. All of the BOD will know the sentiment and will no doubt read this forum (any of them that claim not to read SV is a lie IMO) ... We are trying to sell season tickets, an official post with an update would have been the right thing to do.

Let's hope the solicitors involved in selling football clubs don't take as long as those involved with selling houses! Could be 2000 days if they are!!!

Season Ticket early bird window extended

"As an act of goodwill from the Board of Directors, and with the takeover edging ever closer and paperwork submitted to solicitors for completion, there's no better time to secure your place at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium for the 2025/26 season".

If that statement is true, then someone at the club needs to give their head a wobble!!!

I didn't read the statement, until it was highlighted on here, that there was an 'Easter egg' hidden inside it. I doubt if many people who had already renewed their tickets would read it either. Why is an "act of goodwill" required if sales are ahead of this time last season, and everything is going so well?

And, most importantly, why aren't they shouting from the roof-tops that a sale has now received EFL approval??? That's the news we've all been waiting for!!!

If the paper-work is now with the solicitors, the club should have said something along the lines of, 'as an act of goodwill, the Board of Directors will be re-opening the early bird offer for one week, from the day the take over is completed, so be ready to act!' That would signal intent and raise spirits.

And if the sale is not completed next week, then the official website will lose credibility.

Exactly Keith! They haven't said things have been approved by the EFL but what they have said is there to encourage fans to buy. It's not only a poor marketing ploy but a very dangerous one as it's taking fans for fools and showing that NAPM is having an effect on sales. I think we need a statement from the Board to explain this.

I'm not as cynical about the recent updates as others. Imo there's a pretty massive difference between the vague 'getting closer/it's progressing' stuff we've been getting over the past year, and the more detailed updates on the situation we've been given over the past couple of weeks.

Confirmation that there's a secure funding agreement in place with the EFL and that T&Cs have been agreed, and now that paperwork is with solicitors for completion - it's fairly substantive.

The 'it's getting closer/progressing' stuff has been a bit naff, and ultimately it's a statement that's not really a lie or a truth, and is hard to really hold to account. The recent info is much more firm and is something you can hold to account.

If it goes awry now, either someone's told a fairly massive couple of lies (which I think is unlikely given how specific the info is), or Jason/Panjab have massively ballsed something up, in which case we've got something substantial we can call them out on.
