Its a done deal, now with Solicitor for the legal gubbins. EFL happy, Panjab Warriors and Jason agreed on the price (we'll probably never know this figure).

The Board has done the right thing in extending the Early Bird period. Imagine the moaning if the sale was announced just after the deadline and all NAPM campaigners had to pay full whack!

We will have to give the new owners time to prove their intentions.

Not bothered about paying more, I'm more bothered about the owner still owning theClub 1,000 days after he put the Club up for sale. I think the Clubshould charge more anyway. We haven't raised enough money in gate receipts.

Very poorly communicated by the club

The fact that the club has made a move forward with the sale saga deserved its own notice
if its with the legals then surely this is worthy news

Again in line with the recent poor communication from the club

Hey....don't forget about me    .....I can't wait for our season to get started and the revival of our club into the upper echolons of non league football.

Will be a huge change from the constant battle to avoid relegation with an upper mid table position acceptable as a starter and promotion in season 2026/ 27...although am immediate return to our rightful place in the EFL is obviously preferable... :D

To be fair to them, it is a gesture of goodwill. Obviously the board are against the NAPM campaign as it harms the club and means things don't get paid for. People can claim it's because they haven't sold enough and maybe they haven't but ultimately they gave us the cut off date and if the sale were completed after that and people who had joined the campaign then had to pay more, well that would be on them. So fair enough to the board for extending it, they're telling us that this time it really does look like it's going through, hell maybe the NAPM helped speed it along and this is their way of saying thanks.

Are we all reading too much into this? Where does it actually say that the EFL are now satisfied? It seems like people are assuming Panjab have passed the EFL tests simply because solicitors have been instructed - which doesn’t mean much on its own.

I agree. There's also nothing to prove that PW will actually fund the club properly to enable it to compete. Talk of mid table finishes and climbing back up the leagues is very premature until we actually get confirmation that PW are going to put more money into the club than Jason did and have plans to reduce the losses. We can hope, but I won't believe anything until we see what PW actually do (if anything). Actions speak louder than words!

I think seats will be over 500 already. I presume you can only add the D and E sold seats to the ones that were known in C1 , C Prem and C2 before they stopped showing them on the website. On Tuesday I purchased 2 tickets in C Prem and a car park pass at a cost of £1,139 and I purchased these seats instead of renewing the two I have had in E Stand for a few years. Maybe other Stand E season ticket holders have also upgraded in order to have the Wright and Lord facilities.

Without knowing I would have thought we should if not already done sell at least 1,000 standing terrace season tickets.

For 2 seats and car parking for a season you have got a bargain

We must be pushing 1000 tickets sold between seats and standing now

Agreed , I think £20 ish per match to sit close to the King and his backroom staff is a bargain.

I didn't know then that the "Early Bird" was going to be extended but when I got a tip off from someone in the know that the deal was pretty certain to be done I didn't want to risk paying the full price.

Suggest you ring the club. They are usually very helpful.

It's usually used by with those who have dined in the Local Choice Suite prior to the game although there are a small number of seats unoccupied.

i get all that.

but you cant use paypal over the telephone, or in the club shop, only online.

you can still pick a seat or terrace section on the website and use paypal, but not in C Prem or C Section anymore.

My concern is, if it has happened, why bury it in an article about season tickets? Why not shout it from the hill-tops?

Either it has happened, and the club should shout it out not 'announce it' in an article about something else, or, it hasn't, in which case it is misleading.

Hopefully, we have good news next week...

So how did that work out then?

In fairness, I think it's understandable the club might want to be cautious in doing so even at this apparently late stage, given the all the crap of the past few years. Imagine if they said it's basically done, then something goes wrong and they've essentially duped a load of people in buying STs?

That said, the added public pressure/accountability they could put on Jason/Panjab with an announcement saying that it's basically there and just with solicitors/needs money to change hands I think would be advantageous.

Agreed, that is what the wording implies. Having said that I wonder if anyone asked the Board whether they could word it that way. I doubt it as I should imagine the Board was asked about extending the Early Bird offer and they basically said 'go ahead' and left it to the sales team. If anything goes wrong with the sale now it will be a bit more than embarrassing!

So we've got some arguing that the club has undersold the apparent closeness of the deal, and others saying that they've used the information to attempt to dupe people into buying STs.

I don't think the club has always handled things perfectly by any means, but sometimes they can't win
