According to the Stockport Forum, he's about to sign for Fleetwood for a fee of £50,000.

If true, then I reckon Fleetwood could be on for promotion. However what now for Wayne ?

Fleetwood bidding £50k is one thing.

Can't see Donnelly wanting to play in the Conference for a club that could collapse if Andy Pillock suddenly fell under a bus.

But in a previous thread it suggested that he was. Only reporting what I've read and no doubt you've also seen.

It is however up to him at the end of the day.

Yes , saw the thread. The Stockport fans saw Mellon there I think.

It would be a terrible move for a decent 22 year old striker. Fleetwood are full of aging journeymen and have little chance of promotion.

I think he would be ideal for the Globe.

Bizarre that we get mentioned in relation to three different Plymouth players in the one article!

So how did that work out then?

Donnelly certainly impressed in the game at the Globe, didn't really do that much yesterday though, 8 goals in 23 league games this season and that's in a side that's struggling.

Is he worth the reported £50K though?

After all he's never featured in a first 11 at Plymouth.

IF we are interested I'd like to think that we could do a loan deal until the end of the season, then negotiate a contract, but they need the money NOW to satisfy the Tax Man.

He is worth 50k that's a good price for a player of his quality, i have really liked this guy for a while and he is only 22!! Think he has a bagged about 10 goals this year so i really really hope we sign him :!: :D exciting times

I've only seen the 50k mentioned by this reporter who says he thinks that's what they'd be looking for. They'll take what they can get and I don't think Fleetwood have offered quite that much. Anyway he doesn't want to drop to non-league. I suppose it depends how much we're prepared to push for him.

If you mean Andy Bishop - I think I'd prefer to take a punt on this lad. Bishop isn't that quick and not too dissimilar to Jevo. JS? riddle-me-ree, do you mean Jimmy Spencer? He's here anyway.

3 seasons in the Bundeslige, but a bit short of pace. Certainly couldn't keep a clean sheet when he was in the team !

Yep on a Club record deal. They are certainly showing intent and could well be playing them next season.

I hear Fleetwood offered 40k - not sure if that was the final amount.

But it IS 2k less than we offered for Michael Gash just over a year ago - he's proved to be just that, gash, and is now out on loan at Rushden.

I don't think Fleetwood will go up but I can see Donnelly doing well there and someone trying to pick him up for double that amount, or more, next season.

Ah well.

Radio Lancs said he was on loan so maybe keeping his options open
