Morecambe has been a good answer a few times on Pointless.

I think there was one where you had to name English FL teams where the club was just known by the place name without a City , United , County , Forest , Hotspur etc after the name.

Forgive me for being stupid, but not sure if the letter in question is an I or an L.

If it's an I (eye), then there are at least ten clubs in League 2 alone that qualify.
If it's an L (ell), then there are also at least ten clubs in League 2 that qualify.

Am I missing something here?

Incidentally just seen this thread during the half time at Kenilworth Road, so it was something to occupy me!!

Letter was an I not an L.

Yes there are numerous correct answers but only four were not picked by any of their 100 hence it was a pointless answer. Not sure it was a repeat, but yes Morecambe have been a pointless answer before for team only having place name

Do you know the format for the programme? As said before, Morecambe have been a pointless answer a few times.

OOPS. Long time since I saw that program and I have to confess that I HAD forgotten the format. Now that I have been reminded (thanks!), I fully understand this.

Unfortunately Morecambe FC were pointless yesterday too!!
