Was just about to do a similar post as I think we might have a bit more to be excited about this time.
Mixture of excitement and trepidation for me

A lot more excited than this time last season! I'm not expecting Play Offs but I am hoping for top half finish. A good run in the FA Cup & a live match on TV to boost the bank balance would be nice too.

im not getting carried away, only having 2 C/B's is a concern, need more cover,

its going to be intresting what formation where going to use to get the best out of the attacking talent.

i hope Jim does a Coley and tells the players there good enough to beat anyone and anything is possible, and not that dont get to high and to low thingy, its not exactly inspiring.

It's not at all inspiring I don't think he should use it ever again. It just tries to make everyone feel better if they lose. Certainly doesn't motivate.

If that’s Old and Lavelle, then Sam is on Twitter saying he’s missing today’s game with an injury. Sounds serious as he’s seeing a specialist on Monday.

that doesn't sound good.

i know Jim as said he's looking at defenders, fair play to him for not just signing anybody, suppose Kenyon will have to do a job there, deadline is end if August.

The Window shuts earlier this season , on the 9th August , but that's only applicable if you are signing players who aren't out of contract which is unlikely at this stage.

Jim will be scouring the players that are without a club to find centre backs. Maybe worth taking a look at Mark Roberts former Stevenage , Forest Green , Fleetwood etc player. 34 years old but a decent centre back at this level.

That's a worry and a fine start to what could be a crucial season for Jim and Co.

Didn’t we sign Oswell as that striker who could feed off scraps but also score and link up with balls to feet...? Vadaine can’t even win a header and he gets muscled off the ball more than Cambell did
All that praise for a new signing and Jim starts the guy who scored less goals than fingers on my hand, and he had the entire season to do it!

keep in mind oswell played in non league there is a significant gap to the football league, plus mandeville and oates can play up top as well as kev

Jim said in his interview after signing Jason that the type of goals he scored should transfer well to our league so I can only presume he’s taking his time to introduce him back into professional football.

Are you talking about walking football ? , he should be in the lower leagues preferably not with us . He has no talent whatsoever ,he is a plodder showed nothing last season and has not improved . I wish he could prove me wrong but while he is trying he is keeping talented players sat on the bench

yep, he still missed 2 chances.

but people calling for Oswell, he will only end up isoltated in Jim's 4-2-3-1.

id like a front 2 partnership, but its not gonna happen.
