I assume the players will be on full wages even when injured. I wonder if the club have a health insurance policy to pay the players while out of action, and if not whether this would be more or less expensive. Just curious.

they've been doing it in Sunday/Saturday pub team leagues for years now to cover your normal weekly income.

I suspect its more complex with professional footballers, bit of a difference to getting £300 a week to work on a building site compared to a L1 Footballer on like £2000 a week upwards?
