1920 Union statement 29th May 2025- 1000 days

STATEMENT - 1,000 DAYS FOR SALE
Today marks 1,000 days since Morecambe Football Club was officially placed "up for sale" by Jason Whittingham.
That’s 1,000 days of lies and delay tactics.
1,000 days of "more paperwork has been submitted" and "the sale has never been closer before."
1,000 days of total disrespect to the fans and the future of our club.
We have stood by and watched as countless other clubs have changed hands in a matter of months if not weeks. Jason Whittingham has treated the sale of our club as a PR shield. It's an excuse to hide behind while running it into the ground.
This milestone isn’t a statistic. It’s a symbol of everything that’s wrong under Whittingham’s ownership. A thousand days of neglect while the club drifts further from where it should be, on and off the pitch.
This is why we say "Not A Penny More." Until Jason Whittingham is gone, we will not be purchasing season tickets or match tickets, or spending anything on merchandise. This isn't apathy, it's protest. It's love expressed for our club through action.
1,000 days up for sale. That’s his record.
What we do next will define ours.
