Administration and Liquidation (Don't panic1)

Don't panic we aren't there yet but there's a point I'm not sure about.

I understand the difference between Administration and Liquidation but who initiates the insolvency? Is it the Board or the creditors (which presumably could be Jazza as he could call in the loans)?

Liquidation is winding up a company to pay off debt and Administration is aims to save a company by trying to restructure a company in an effort to find a buyer.

I also really don’t think Morecambe FC is at either stage, but that might be were we are heading if Whittingham stays as our owner.
