It is possible for both statements to exist at the same time. Given what Whittingham has done to us, I don't think it is unreasonable to question the motives of an unknown entity, who on the face of it, don't have much money, but advertise themselves as a 'development company'. It does appear "dubious" that they are unable to provide the required documentation and/or proof of funds and/or the legitimacy of funds, after this period of time. I don't think it is unreasonable to question why a group who had [have?] links to our pop man are interested in a non-League football club in the North of England?

That said, we have no choice who Whittingham sells to, if he ever does, so we need to welcome the new owners, if they can ever satisfy the EFL... ...or, whoever we're answerable to by the time they get it over the line? Then, they can be judged on their deeds.
