Today is the 999th day of the club being up for sale.

We all know that Whittingham has strung us along, we know that Board haven't been able to force through a sale and that the Trust haven't offered much of a protest but have we done enough as fans?

Tomorrow will be a very sad day, 1000 days up for sale and still no official word regarding a sale going through. We should all hang our heads in shame as we have allowed our football club and our town to be dragged through the mud.

Strong words BW and I agree it's a terrible state of affairs but I find it a bit difficult to see what the fans could have done. Demonstrations have brought some publicity but not resulted in any effect. Pitch invasions were out of the question whilst we still had a chance of staying up. Even the efforts of 1920 Union with their posters in London and JW's home town have had no effect. However, considering the anger the whole situation has provoked amongst the fans, I do find the fact that there is still a solid base of fans who are not prepared to do anything very poor. If we really are going to go into next season with the club still in JW's ownership then drastic action is needed if the club is to survive. Actions like NAPM (not sure how well this has been supported) are needed to bring the situation to a head. Maybe those against NAPM are planning pitch invasions instead?

I cannot see how the club will survive another season under JW's ownership.

If the fanbase had come together and backed the 1920, things would have been different. If the Trust had backed the movement more, things would have been different and if the Board had made more of a stand against Whittingham, things would have been different. Don't underestimate the efforts of the protest group, they have caused Whittingham problems. He has tried to ban some individuals for actions taken against him.

I reckon the fans of the other 91 of the 92 clubs would have done much more than this fan base has.

The Early Bird deadline is on friday. People will feel the pressure of the discounted prices but stay strong and back the #NAPM campaign. It is our club and I agree, this club will not survive another year of being bled dry by the scumbag Whittingham.

Think that is a wee bit harsh on the Trust.

Surely it is far better to have on going discussions with the proposed new owner which is what the Trust's Chairperson has had rather than to protest about the lack of movement.

Far better to discuss than protest ...... :!:

Have we heard from the Trust about the meeting they had with PW? I've heard rumours that members of the trust have been wined and dined by PW but no word on that?

How many more discussions will it take? 1000 days tomorrow and god knows how many discussions and false promises.

I agree it's harsh on the Trust Board. They can only do what its members want it to do. It's the majority of the Trust members that are to blame not the Trust's Board.

However I disagree with the last comment of redrobbo....Discussion is only any use if both sides wish to reach a conclusion that will satisfy both. If JW is still the owner by next season discussion will clearly have failed....as it has so far!

I am interested in why you chose the name of redrobbo as your ideas are clearly a thousand miles from the ideas of the original Redrobbo.

I'm not digging out individual members of the Trust. I am saying that the Shrimps Trust coukd have done more.

Trouble is that fans who have done what the Trust and Board have asked have been badly let down as nothing has changed. So the Trust have had meetings - so what? Nothing has changed. It's achieved nothing.

Now to be fair the Trust has asked their members (us the fans) a number of times what action they would like them to take. They can only do what their members want, so if you want to blame anyone its the fanbase in general that has not wanted to do very much.

Agreed. People think that the Trust is just the few that put themselves forward to represent the fans but OMK is correct, the Trust is us the supporters of the football club. We are as much to blame as anybody else involved in these 999 days.

Fans are free to make an educated choice which path they wish to follow.....to make a derogatory remark about those that have chosen to support the club by renewing their seasons tickets is a tad unfair. It could also be said of those who choose not to support the club by boycotting buying season tickets...

We are all supporters of our club and we all want to see this fiasco resolved...

Which is why we need to draw a line on it now.
The club needs to be loved again...

Shocking comment Andy D

We are all human beings who have their own mind and can do what they want

If we want to buy a season ticket then we will do so the same way if someone wants to do NAPM then they will

It's simple Neal
As it stands the club is tumbling down the leagues.
Why do you think that is?
It's needs serous love and care to get back to the club the fans deserve.
If Jason is still here it ain't happening.

Couldn't agree more...that is why for me we have to give any new owner the chance to put his ideas and plans in place to resurrect our club into the club we can ALL be proud of... not the utter shambles that Jason has created by his own mismanagement and utter greed.

Could the 1000th day be the day when we see the rebirth of our great club..... :?: :?: :?:

999 days up for sale and we have two options as fans; you either carry on going or you don’t until Whiitinghams gone. It’s a personal thing you cannot do it lightly which ever way you choose to support.

If you have had enough of Whittingham tenure and his stay away underfunding ownership that has led us out of the EFL. why carry on going?

If you feel nothing matters but to turn up and watch the team because as fans we cannot influence Whittingham I hope you go and watch some good football.

Oh how to resolve the ownership of the Club!!

"as fans we cannot influence Whittingham"

There is the problem in a nutshell... whatever path we have taken or threaten to take, Whittingham is impervious to it all. Living as he does so far away, Morecambe's plight has never caused him to have sleepless nights.....

This isn't true. We know that fan action has bothered Whittingham and we know that he has asked for individual fans to be banned. The trouble is that there hasn't been enough backing for the 1920

And why would he want to sell when people are happy to keep funding the club that then funds him? Jason has never wanted out, if it was hurting him financially he would have dumped us years ago.
