This is a massive story. We will be out of the EFL and out of their protection. Who would have thought it eh? Dodgy seller can't sell to dodgy buyer so they find a way around it.

This is a shit show, we are being treated like dirt on the shoes of everybody involved but they still want you to buy a season ticket. NAPM!!!

Referring back to the questions and answers session at the Trusts meeting with the Board of Directors the question was asked about the legitimacy of Panjab Warriors. The question continued...How can we as supporters get behind the new regime when it has taken so long for them to pass the suitable owners test
The answer from the Board was...That's a reasonable question and, should the sale be completed, one that should be put to Panjab Warriors directly.

Read what you want into that answer!

If I’m right the club was hoping for the sale to go through before we officially leave the EFL. The take over by Panjab Warriors has been going on a bit and they have not got long to get it over the line before our membership of the EFL is over.

I have not heard if the National League has accepted us but I take it that it’s automatic transition when you have been relegated. Once we are out of the EFL and we are recognised as a National League team what happens to the bid by Panjab Warriors?

According to a quick Google search once we are in the Nation League the ‘Fit and Proper Ownership Test’ is conducted by the Football Association (not the EFL). Once we are a National League side it is the FA’s responsibility to ensure that Owners and Directors are honest, have sufficient financial resources and are not subject to disqualifying events.

So for it to be “sold soon” it’s down to the EFL to get us over the line before we leave them in early June otherwise it will probably be a bit yet before the sale goes through. Always with the proviso that Whittingham has something up his sleeve!!!

first of all, the one positive you have, and have had for some time is a carbon copy of the blueprint of where your club is going, since it was acquired by the current incumbent. its not good reading of course, but there is is, laid out in black and white what is going to happen and how it is going to end up, you could even probably work out a reasonable timeline.
what continues to amaze and dismay me is that hardly anyone is doing anything about it and it seems to just be left to fate at this point, in which case i can see next season being your last.
I certainly feel a lot of sympathy for all involved, it is a dreadful situation, but you are sleepwalking into oblivion. fans in disagreements over boycotts, the trust not at all well backed and the BOD rearranging the deckchairs on the titanic.
there is one individual (lets be honest there is no group) taking money out of YOUR club, probably his main if only source of income and he will continue to do so because he can, its easy, its a lot of money and when it isnt worth while anymore, thatll be that and just like at WW he might just take what isnt bolted down as a little bonus leaving creditors and fans with nothing, as at that point a sale is impossible. NAPM is surely the absolute bare minimum at this point to avoid another WW.

You are right in everything you say. The alarm bells rang when the WW stuff started happening but the BOD's told us it was nothing to do with us and not to worry. Money has been taken out with nothing reinvested for years and that is why we are where we are now. We haven't woken up to what has been going on and sadly some never will. Like I said at the start of this thread, we should hang our heads in shame.

Forget 1000 days looking for caring owner. We haven't had a caring owner since PMG decided to sell to Lemos.

I'd totally support NAPM if there was a concensus and we had calculations it would actually work. Sadly, we don't.

It's an absolute mess. PW offer nothing credible.

What's Jason's end game? Perhaps he wants MFC to go under?

CONTROVERSIAL THOUGHTS on our 1,000 day.

It’s being said Jason has tried to ban some fans, what for? He has an iron grip on things with people frozen, unwilling to go that extra yard it will take to help get rid of him. My question is If it’s found that you as an individual are not part of any break off supporters group, just an individual inspired be an idea, will you be welcomed back when it’s all over? Where has our Club has ended up? It’s a poor do that supporters are being bad by the person who is the person doing the most damage to the Club. For me the sale happens and I will be there, till then, I’m not.

Any successful action would have to be collective, as some people are saying and that should start with officials at the Club, the Trust being more pro in doing something and lead the fans and then the fans in their droves supporting it.

That unfortunately goes back to when the BOD’s wrote two passionate open letters, declaring that they are not happy with the ownership and the march to the ground by supporters, though great, was not in the numbers or attended by those who could have led and galvanised the fan base, all while we were n the EFL. (My position on the march was for the BOD’s lead, the Shrimps Trust alongside them and more active for it to be in any way successful), controversial but Whittingham would have had to sacked them and dealt with the fallout or restart a proper relationship with the BOD’s (because of a distinctive challenge to his ownership) maybe things would have worked out for the better or maybe just brought it all to a head. I’ve no doubt the fans would have supported Rod, Graham and BOD’s it would have been a mess, but might have stopped Whittingham.

Fast forward and the NAPM campaign though a great idea and a proven way of hitting the ownership of a Club is probably not going to be in sufficient numbers is unknown others continue to try and plough a furrow in a nettle infested field. That though is not a reason to abandon the NAPM Campaign because you follow the crowd, we have done that collectively for 1,000 days!

No this is about you yourself and if you have had enough of the shameful way our Club has been dragged down and believe the Owner will continue to drag the Club down what can any do? For me hand on heart I cannot be part of it no more. Jason OUT.

I will follow Morecambe FC away from home when I can, I will also go and watch our Academy side (I hope others join me supporting our Club that way).

It could all be futile, the Club could be sold Today (don’t hold your breath, for Christ sack) and then as a Club we have to give the new owners a chance and I will then come back and I’m sure that how others will feel. Jason OUT and we go again.

When that happens we as a Club and a fan base must learn the lesson and never let bad ownership ever drift on again.
