STATEMENT - 1,000 DAYS FOR SALE

Today marks 1,000 days since Morecambe Football Club was officially placed "up for sale" by Jason Whittingham.
That’s 1,000 days of lies and delay tactics.
1,000 days of "more paperwork has been submitted" and "the sale has never been closer before."
1,000 days of total disrespect to the fans and the future of our club.
We have stood by and watched as countless other clubs have changed hands in a matter of months if not weeks. Jason Whittingham has treated the sale of our club as a PR shield. It's an excuse to hide behind while running it into the ground.
This milestone isn’t a statistic. It’s a symbol of everything that’s wrong under Whittingham’s ownership. A thousand days of neglect while the club drifts further from where it should be, on and off the pitch.
This is why we say "Not A Penny More." Until Jason Whittingham is gone, we will not be purchasing season tickets or match tickets, or spending anything on merchandise. This isn't apathy, it's protest. It's love expressed for our club through action.
1,000 days up for sale. That’s his record.
What we do next will define ours.

Act now, it's obvious what Jason is doing.

Appreciate what the campaign is trying to do but for me it's doing more harm to our club's finances than getting rid of Jason. Loss of revenue over the close season means cash flow to pay contracted players and staff will be a major problem.

However is there a solution to all this that is finally in the last stages of completion..... ;) ;) ;)

Jason sells the club like he said and there will be no cash flow problem will there?
Remember he said he had four credible buyers

It's the loss of revenue that may finally force him out. Keep stumbling along, allowing him to take cash keeps him here.

Good to know! Incidentally, I've a friend who is a Nigerian prince. He needs your help to move US$3,000,000 out of the country, and if you help him, he'll let you have a million for your trouble. I suggested that he buys Morecambe FC, and he said once you've helped with this cash flow issue, he would do so. Just send me your bank details and mother's maiden name...

So how did that work out then?

Just read Yeovil have just been taken over by new owners after debts by previous owner. So in the space of a year we have seen Southend, Reading and now Yeovil get taken over in a short space of time to Jason who has taken three years. I hope I am wrong and that this so called offer is genuine but each day that passes I am beginning to think like others it’s a load of bull from Jason.
