Do they have to publicise it? Surely the only thing they need to do is inform the interested parties...seller, buyer, and club.

I agree, but I get the impression that some fans on here have been concerned that the EFL haven't said anything, such as with other takeovers eg. Reading, but I don't see the need on their part when we're no longer a member.

If the statement about EFL clearance was false, then the EFL would have put out something saying so. And it's also now been confirmed by Tarnia that the EFL have given the ok. I don't think there's anymore debate on that!

I suspect the club will likely be officially sold in the coming days as promised, barring anything catastrophic. That season of profit was a one-off - the club is a basically sinkhole for money and will most likely continue that way for the foreseeable future (IMO you'd need a fair amount of investment to turn that around). The sale to Panjab is Jason's golden egg - if he keeps the club he will only put himself in a position to lose more money. Now that the sale to his preferred party (AKA the one willing to give him the most money) has been given the green light, I can't see him dragging his feet.

If I step back and take a look at this whole saga, I think that's probably all it's ever been about - which buyer can Jason squeeze the most money out of. At first it was Sarbjot, who I'm guessing bid something daft before the EFL chased him away. Then it seems whatever the American party offered him in November-ish 2023 he thought he could squeeze more out of someone else. It seems he's managed to persuade the folk at Panjab to do so and throughout the time it's taken for them to pass the EFL checks, appears to have been getting financial support from them. As for what they'll be like as owners, I've got no idea.

Forgive this old fool but hasn't Panjab been providing funds via Jason for sometime now. If so it was always a sale to them was the only option. I understand that Jason is playing games with Panjab saying that the loan money was separate to any deal whilst Panjab say the money they provided has tobe classed as part of any deal and therefore Jason can forget trying to squeeze even more money for the sale to go ahead

That is what was posted on twitter on 1920union site. Have you got a separate source for that redrobo?
(no need to divulge it I just wonder whether it is a separate source).

Either heard or read t somewhere that Jason was playing his usual silly bugger tricks and that Panjab refused to shift on the fact that the money already loaned was and is included in the price not over and above

If either of the business' in this saga were worth their salt one side or the other would have got all this down on paper and signed by both sides.

SALE NEXT WEEK!!!

No, I've no idea either. But everyone else has had a go, including the club and The Trust, so I thought I'd join in.
