Someone has leaked it and you can guarantee it won't be Rod or Graham so it's has to be Jason or the new guys. Seems a very type of Jason thing to do he has previous of leaking things when it suits him.

First reported that he is set to leave by the annoyingly reliable Alan Nixon and then backed up by Pete O'Rourke who clarified he is to be sacked. Both actual journalists and not just one of those made up twitter rumor pages so there is certainly some substance here.

Is this the board's doing? I didn't think Jason had to the power to take such actions without their approval and since Panjab haven't taken control yet surely it can't be them. The board love Derek so something very concerning is going on.

After his comments about "those up there don't have a plan" clearly meaning the Board, I can believe the Board have sacked him. They've waited until "good news" i.e. the early bird extension and new owners, so that people would renew season tickets - if they'd sacked him earlier, there may have been a lot fewer season ticket renewals!

I wonder if they both think they know when the sale will be finalised or are they just selective in their rumour-mongering?

OWS posted a thank u about season tickets but NO confirmation either way about DA. Surely ideal time to put rumour or otherwise tobed?

Nixon generally has agents in his ear feeding him these headlines. He was the one who broke the news multiple times when Stockton was itching to leave so there's always an element of trying to stir the pot with his reports.

I'm Dereks biggest fan and want him to stay on but part of me thinks it is time to put it all to bed. I don't think that it will be doing anybody any good if it continues.

Nothing on the web site, so much for dialog and keeping fans informed. I Feel a bit vindicated for not getting my season ticket while Whittingham is still the owner. If true it makes you wonder what else he has up his sleeve before he goes.

Surely it’s nothing to do with the guys who are trying to buy us, that would be a great start.

Me too Billy I still think this has a long way to go and could still get worse.

Someone from the Indian premier league to try and get us recognised over there and within the sikh community.

If it is bollocks, the club are correct, not responding to it.
If it is true, WTF are the club doing, allowing the news to spread without an official response?

At the moment, still no official response, so it must be bollocks, as I'm sure the club wouldn't allow the news to spread for so long without taking control of the narrative...

You're SURE Keith? I hope you're right. As you say the Board should have made some form of statement by now. Nothing from the Trust who represent the fans. This is getting toxic.

Again...if it's true who has sacked him? Jason? Possibly. Panjab Warriors? Don't see how they can until the sale is completed. The Board either on their own or under orders from JW or PWs?

We haven't heard anything from Derek either.

I can't see the club being so incompetent as to allow a story to get out of hand, without an official response, if it was true, so the only logical alternative is that it is bollocks... ...isn't it?

It’s utter ridiculous the whole shannigans of the ownership and what’s happening at present. Not working with fans at all and clearly this story going round in circles they could to at least put some closure to it quickly. Makes me wonder if this club will ever get sold or it’s just to keep the fans buying season tickets while they make up another story. Don’t know what to believe anymore.

I'm torn. I do so like DA and appreciate his conviction. Whilst there has been neither anything from the trust, despite a regular bombardment of communications upon my email account over the past months, nor from the club, which is somewhat more understandable, I would have hoped DA could have been given the opportunity to galvanise us back towards the FL.On the other hand, it has been disappointing that DA took us down twice. Of course, the odds to stay up were very much stacked against him, but there was always that possibility that we could have got 10 more points to do just that in the season just gone.
I would like to see DA at the helm again for another season, but if things were not going well, I would support a change.

I find it crazy that we have club officials that regularly meets our Trust but massive news this week have been brought to us by 1920 Union, Allan Nixon and other reporters.
If they are not true they'd be shot down in flames.

Clutching at straws thanks to no update from our BoDs but can't find any confirmation on any of the National media outlets in particular BBC Sport which is usually up to speed on any such news. Nothing on either EFL or National League sites.

So is it all a horrible hoax. Until the Board come forth with confirmation or denial we have to assume that JW has gagged them once again. If it was myself I'd ignore any directive from the current owner. What can he do if our Board come clean

Didn't you tell us the sale was done 5 weeks ago.?
I suggest you should have waited for the board to tell us as you looked stupid.

Our club is currently in the final stages of what has been one long bloody dragged out sale process and thank goodness (I hope) the end is in sight and you want the BOD to come out publicly to comment on what could be & I say again “could be”, as we don’t know, pure speculation or gossip made up in the closed season. I personally know no more than others but I think & hope it is pure bollocks but we will know when the time is right for us to know. For now let’s concentrate on hoping this sale process is completed very soon. It certainly should be but if anything like a house sale who knows as paperwork is posted back and forth. Let’s hope they both use the same solicitors to speed it up drastically
