O /T Duty free prices

Was amazed at how so called Duty Free costs on alcohol has increased .

I'm partial to Jack Daniels and the costvin Duty Free in Liverpool and Rhodes for a 1litre bottle was significantly cheaper in Sainsbury's .

However on return Jet2 flight they had offers on alcohol that were cheaper than even Sainsbury's. I bought 3 1litre bottles of Jack Daniels for £45 meaning that each bottle was £15. Other in plane offers on our return flight included significant savings on everything from cosmetics to watches etc.

Gone are rhe days when Duty Free alcohol was always cheaper than in store
in the UK

Depends where you're flying back from. Malaga, very cheap duty-free spirits. Tallinn, cheaper in the corner shop back home.

Slight problem getting it through security so had to break it and share with other passengers....
