There's still 43 games to go!

I agree the PNE game should be taken out of the general assessment of the season to date.

But again I ask you, what in your opion is the reasoning for the lack of concentration at the start of the last 2 league games?

You obviously think my opinion is ridiculous...so what's yours?

To hijack your question CC, I think given all the talk of challenging for promotion the new players may have be suffering from a little over-confidence and not appreciating how important it is to keep tight - Burton's goals were down to this, plus a non-match fit Bentley returning plus Burton's high morale after promotion. Five goals conceded in a match and a lambasting from Sammy may have put their heads down a bit which is why we conceded so early last night, but as the game went on we were more and more disciplined at the back and, as I noted on another thread, this attitude is spreading throughout the defence.

Take the Preston result out, which was a result against a team of much higher quality that we play week in, week out, and we wouldn't be panicking anywhere near as much. Personally I think that result is irrelevent.

To suggest our players tiny little minds can't cope at the start of the match because of all the instructions, especially when we've conceded two early goals in two whole matches is over analysing the situation and coming up with ridiculous conclusion.

Maybe we haven't taken on the required amounts of water before kick off?

Just got back and was going to post but i think sean is spot on with his assesment and has said everything i was going to say! I didn't think there was anything wrong with wilsons goal he was excellent tonight my man of the match he kept Adomah in his pocket most of the game and put some good balls into the box hes going to be a good player for us. We need a bit of luck at the moment hit the woodwork 3 times in 2 games if they go in both games change nothings falling for us at the moment we have a good squad and when it all clicks we may just have somthing special.

cheers kev looks like we saw the same game
wilson was superb wasnt he?
